So you may ask, why this blog? Well, these past few months have been life-changing. In early January of this year I lost the rest of my vision, and although I prepared myself for that day, emotionally that’s something you can’t prepare for. Luckily these past six months I’ve worked hard, finish the semester of school strong, and am more confident and ready to go for guide dog training! On May 3rd, I received a call from The Seeing Eye inviting me to their May 27th class. Did I mention that it was my birthday that day? Yeah, what a great call to receive on my special day! Both excited and nervous; in just a few days I’ll be there, in just a few days i’ll be matched with my dog, and in just a few days my life will change for the best! I plan to write daily posts about my day-to-day experience through training, and what the experience is like from my point of view. I hope you guys enjoy reading!
